Volunteering in RSPCA Regional Districts

RSPCA regional districts are run mostly by volunteers and we seek assistance in a number of areas including fundraising, public relations, animal welfare shelters and op-shops.

District animal shelters need volunteers to clean animal pens and cages; groom, exercise and feed animals; assist with animal husbandry and grounds maintenance.

In our opportunity shops, volunteers assist with a variety of tasks, ranging from shop presentation, sorting goods, laundering and ironing, knitting and counter work.

Volunteers can also assist as Regional Team Leaders or assistance in three areas: Events, Fundraising or Campaigns. Position descriptions and application forms for Team Leaders and Assistants can be found here.

Remember, you must be 15 years of age or older to become a volunteer.
