Vet clinics

Trust your pet with the experts

The RSPCA operates veterinary clinics at three central locations in Victoria, at
Burwood East, Ballarat and Pearcedale on the Mornington Peninsula.

Our clinics have a team of highly-skilled vets and nurses who make sure that the welfare of your pet always come first. They are responsible for providing care to our shelter animals, as well privately owned pets in the community.

The RSPCA veterinary team provides the best of care to all animals entering our clinics. Our Burwood East clinic has the latest specialised equipment with in-house radiology, pathology testing facilities and ultrasound services to enhance diagnosis. Our caring vets and nursing staff are trained in the latest techniques and have expansive specialised knowledge, including skills in orthopedics, optics, dermatology and behavioural medicine.

Both of our Burwood East and Peninsula clinics provide care to animals seven days a week, 365 days a year with all your pet's needs covered from emergency care to simply routine vaccinations, health checks or microchips. Our Burwood East clinic is open extended hours on weeknights for your convenience.

Our experienced vet at the Pets Place Ballarat clinic provides general consults, vaccination, microchipping, health checks and prescription foods.

As a community organisation, we ensure the price of our veterinary services remain competitive. All proceeds from our clinics are also reinvested in the care of rescued and abandoned shelter animals.

Veterinary service prices at our Burwood East and Peninsula clinics are as below.

  • A consultation with an RSPCA vet will cost $65 on weekdays/Saturdays and $114 on Sundays.
  • Vaccination starts from $83.
  • Desexings start from $91.
  • Microchipping is only $39.
For the Pets Place Ballarat clinic prices, please contact the centre directly on 5335 5909.

Concession card holders are eligible to receive 10% off of all full price services.

Our friendly vet nursing team is also available to provide free advice regarding anything pet-related, including diet advice and flea control.

To find out more about our prices or how much a specific procedure will cost, please contact our clinic team. We will be more than happy to help you!
