RSPCA short courses are designed to develop new skills for people dealing with animals; providing valuable access to industry experts and utilising quality resources and trainers. Programs are tailored for those wanting to enter the animal industry or already working within this field, as well as allowing participants to increase their skills with their own pets.

Caring for Animals - Dogs, Cats, Small Animals or Horses


We offer five fun, practical and informative one-day sessions:
- Caring for Cats - BOOK HERE
- Caring for Dogs - BOOK HERE
- Caring for Small Animals - BOOK HERE
- Caring for Horses *NEW*- BOOK HERE
- Understanding Dog Behaviour - BOOK HERE

Throughout the day you will learn the basics of caring for the animal of your choice, so it’s pawwfect for pet owners, as well as those who are thinking about a career working with animals.

Hands on experience is essential to understanding our furry friends, so you will have the chance to meet and learn with our ‘Pawfessors’, while being taught by our teachers and industry experts.

$225 per session

Pet First Aid

Where: RSPCA Burwood East Education Centre
  
Cost: $80  
    
Date:Thursday 15th December 2016, time 6pm - 9pm (fully booked)
Thursday 9th March 2017, time 6pm - 9pm
  

In this course you will learn how to:
  • Observe and measure vital signs of life in your pet
  • Bandage a bleeding wound
  • Perform CPR on an animal
  • Maintain safety while working with an injured pet

The course will have both theory and practical elements.

Tea and coffee provided.
