Junior holiday program


Do you love animals and want to learn more about them? Our holiday program offers animal lovers of all ages a chance to get up close and personal with their favorite creatures.



 



Animal Time!



This is the perfect opportunity for young children aged 5 to 6 years to meet some well natured dogs, kind cats and friendly farm animals like Rachel the cow and Billy the goat! There will be plenty of animal interaction and animal inspired art and craft activities.

Participants will need to bring afternoon tea.

 
     

 

 

Discovering Dogs


Dogs, Dogs, Dogs! Come and learn how to keep a dogs brain and body busy! Lots of facts to learn, animals to meet and dog themed activities, such as baking dog biscuits.



Participants will need to bring morning tea and a packed lunch


   
 

Wacky Whiskers


Are you crazy about cats, kooky about kittens, bonkers bout bunnies? We have a variety of fluffy and furry animal friends to introduce you to and we need your help to make their stay at the RSPCA more fun.

Participants will need to bring morning tea and a packed lunch.

 
   

RSPCA Fun and Games Day

Run, play, pat, feed, explore, make, find and discover! Join us for a great day of activities and animals.


Participants will need to bring morning tea and a packed lunch.


 
   

Horses and Ponies


For people who love ponies and horses! Come and groom Gus, our gorgeous Welsh Mountain Pony or meet Henry our thoroughbred. Find out about how the RSPCA helps horses, learn about caring for horses, make some equine inspired art and craft and much more horsey fun!

Participants will need to bring morning tea and a packed lunch.



     

 

Rabbits and Guinea Pigs


Calling all kids who love animals! This is the perfect session for young children aged 7 to 12 to come and meet our gorgeous rabbits and guinea pigs and find all about what they need to be healthy and happy. Tour our shelter and make some animal art and craft. Honey Bun and friends look forward to seeing you!


Participants will need to bring morning tea and a packed lunch.


     

 


Animal Carers Day



Is looking after animals your idea of a perfect job? Come and find out about the good, the bad and the smelly bits of working at the RSPCA.



Participants will need to bring morning tea and a packed lunch.
 
     
 
 

Amazing Animal Art - Photography Day


Lights, Camera, Animal Art! Come and be part of our Animal Art session focusing on animal photography. Learn and practice your photography skills and complete photography challenges. Will YOUR photograph make it onto the RSPCA website? *Please bring your own digital camera or another digital photo taking device.


Participants will need to bring morning tea and a packed lunch.

Program information

      • Program times: 
        • 5-6 year old:  12pm to 230pm
        • 7 - 14 year old Extended Program: 8am to 5pm
        • 7 - 14 year old Standard Program: 930am to 3pm  
      • Extended Program                                    

               Our extended program provides flexible drop off and pick up times.
               Participants can arrive between 8am  and 930am with an afternoon
               pick up between 3pm and 5pm.  Please remember to pack an                         afternoon snack!
               
               Extended care activities may  include;

        • Movie viewing
        • Board games
        • Visiting adoption areas
        • Making animal toys
        • delivering enrichment items to areas of the shelter
        • Art and craft
        • Colouring in 

        • Doors open 10 minutes prior to commencement/finish time.
        • Please provide your child with morning tea and a packed lunch (that does not require heating or cooking). Please note:  We strive to be a nut free environment.
        • All attendees receive a certificate of attendance.
        • Bookings are non-refundable and numbers are limited.
