Education
RSPCA Education engages students with four-legged ambassadors, powerful visual presentations, age appropriate real-life cruelty cases and animal welfare campaigns.

The RSPCA Education team offers students a wide range of learning experiences through a variety of curriculum targeted programs. Learning opportunities exist on-site at the RSPCA Education Centre in Burwood East, or alternatively, Education Officers can visit your school accompanied by a temperament-tested animal.
The Education Centre includes a rustic barn where a selection of pets and farm animals can be handled or observed up close. All of the animals in the RSPCA Barn are conditioned for close contact, so on-site visits are a unique opportunity to interact with a variety of animals.
The RSPCA Education theatrette offers the benefits of closed-circuit television, DVD, video and on-line technology, viewed on a screen sized 4mx3m. An information gallery also provides a venue in which students can develop their understanding of animal welfare issues.
The RSPCA Education service for schools is currently free of charge to groups of more than 10 students (however donations of money, blankets, towels and newspapers are always greatly appreciated).

Our Education services receive no government funding so we sincerely
welcome your donations. As little as $2 per student will help us continue
our critical education work and will support our Education team (including
our barn animals!).

Do you love animals and want to learn more about them? We have lots of programs, activities and events to help you learn about animals, while having loads of fun. Have you heard about our holiday programs? We have lots of sessions that might just be the highlight of your holidays, suited to all ages, including programs for 15-18 year olds who might be thinking of working with animals.
