Junior Manners

If you've started off on the right paw with Puppy Pre-school, continue on the path to creating a well socialised and behaved dog with Junior Manners. This course will cover how you can apply your training techniques to ‘real life’ scenarios, including how to teach your canine to walk on a loose lead.

Suited to young dogs aged aged 3-6 months who have recently graduated from Puppy Pre-school.

When: Weekday evenings and weekend mornings
Duration: 1 hour session for four weeks.
Cost: $90 ($70 for RSPCA puppies when booked within four weeks of adoption)

Special offer! Sign up for puppy pre-school and junior manners for $145 (save $35)!

Pet Dog Manners

Are you looking to improve your dog's behaviour? Do you want to own a well-mannered dog?  This comprehensive course will cover how you can train your dog to become a well-behaved member of the family.

Learn how you can apply reward-based training techniques to real life scenarios, including how to teach your dog to walk on a loose lead.

Suited to puppies and dogs aged over 5 months who have had limited training.

When: Weekday evenings and weekend mornings.
Duration: 1 hour sessions for six weeks.
Cost: $180 (includes a one-on-one behaviour assessment prior to starting).  Puppies adopted from the RSPCA receive a discounted price of $165 when booked within four weeks of adoption. Graduates from our our Junior Manners or Post-adoption Training course are eligible for a discounted rate of $150 (no behaviour assessment is required).

Canine Games

Now that all the serious training is complete, it’s time to have some fun! This relaxed class will offer you an introduction to a range of canine activities. We will be covering Clicker training and obedience games.

Suited to dogs who have completed RSPCA Junior Manners, Pet Dog Manners or equivalent training at another training organisation.

When: Weekdays
Duration: 1 hour per week, over four weeks.
Cost: $80

Post-adoption Training

Have you recently adopted from the RSPCA or another animal welfare organisation?  Start off on the right paw with our training especially designed for adopted animals. During the classes you and your pooch will learn aspects of adjusting to your new life together, including training for basic behaviours such as sit and drop, as well as games. You'll also have a chance to chat about how your pet is settling in and ask any questions you may have.

Suited to 'dog social' adopted dogs (evidence of adoption will be required) aged 6 months or older. Please note the first training class is without your adopted dog.

When:  Saturdays
Duration: 1 hour session for six weeks.
Cost: $80 ($60 if the booking is made within two weeks of adoption).
