Youth Programs

In addition to our School Holiday Program for children aged 5 - 14 years, RSPCA Victoria now offers three exciting new sessions for 15-18 year olds. Come to Vet Day at the RSPCA or First Aid for Animals to experience and learn how RSPCA vets and vet nurses care for sick and injured animals. We are now offering a horse themed program for 15-18 year olds. Hands-on Horse Care will give you some great hands on, face to face interaction with our horses as well as covering many aspects of horse ownership.

Ages 15 - 18

Come along to learn all about the work of a veterinary nurse at the RSPCA. Learn how to use basic first aid techniques to help injured animals and protect your pets. We can show you how to read animal behaviour and safely rescue wildlife.

Are horses are your thing? Come and join us for a heap of fun hands on activities. Learn about the care of horses and understanding their behaviour. This is a Brand New session – so be the first to come and experience it!

Are you interested in working with animals in the future? Take a backstage look at the work of a vet at the RSPCA. Learn about assessing a dog’s health and temperament and spend some quality time with our education animals.
