RSPCA Education
RSPCA
Education offers students a wide range of learning experiences through a
variety of curriculum targeted programs. Learning opportunities exist
on-site at the RSPCA Education Centre in Burwood East, or alternatively,
Education Officers can visit your school accompanied by a
temperament-tested animal.
The Education Centre includes a rustic Barn where a selection of pets and
farm animals can be handled or observed close up. All of the animals in
the RSPCA Barn are conditioned for close contact and are kept and displayed in a
manner that places their welfare as the highest priority.
A theatrette offers the benefits of closed-circuit television, DVD, video
and on-line technology, viewed on a screen that is four metres long and
three metres high. An information gallery provides a venue in which
students can develop their understanding of animal welfare issues and the
work of an animal welfare organisation.
