Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL)
"Animals, Attitudes & Actions"
VCAL presentations engage students with
real life animal cruelty cases and examples of the work of the RSPCA
shelter and inspectorate. We investigate why the RSPCA needs to exist and
the role of volunteers in supporting a community based, animal welfare
organisation. Other topics include pathways for a career with animals
and the importance of work based skills such as communication and OH&S.
Use our Personal Development Skills
(PDS) resource
to investigate current RSPCA animal welfare campaigns. Students conduct
a group project while fulfilling all Unit 1 learning outcomes.
