"I absolutely loved this course.  It taught me many things that I wouldn't have known before and it taught me things that I will need to know if I'm going to work in the animal industry.

It has also helped me think about my future and what I want to do and helped me get a part-time job in a grooming salon.  We handled so many different animals, many that I wouldn't normally, such as stick insects, guinea pigs, rabbits, cows, chooks, and Lucy the goose.

I've slowly learnt more about cats and dogs and about different breeds which I had difficulty learning before and the practical learning from work placement helped me put it into practice.  Work placement was easily the best bit about the course. It provided real hands on learning in a real shelter.

I would definitely recommend this course to anyone and everyone who wants to or even if they aren't sure if they want to work with animals.  This course helps decide if the animal industry is the career path that you want to take or not."

"My time at RSPCA was the most educational, interesting and amazing time I have ever had.  I had many great moments and made good friends along the way.

I couldn’t even begin to list all the things I have learnt; it just makes me want to learn more and work with animals.  It really was a great experience and I enjoyed it immensely.

As for recommending this course to others it a yes from me!   I think it was a great way to learn about animals especially if you were like me and you didn’t really know if you wanted to work with them or not, this course gives you a great idea on whether working for animals is for you.

My expectations were a little bit different than what we did - I had no idea that there would be that much cleaning and I don’t think many others associated that much cleaning when working with animals either! Doing this course really helps you find out if working for animals is for you."

"The Certificate II in Animal Studies course was really just awesome.  I always enjoyed coming to the RSPCA and even going to work at our work placements.  There was never a dull moment because working with animals is very rewarding and fun.  My favourite parts were probably working in the barn because it was a lot more hands on because of all the different jobs to do.

All the teachers and supervisors were great, I couldn't have asked for better teachers.  They taught me a lot which I will use for the rest of my life.

I would recommend this course to anyone who loves animals because it teaches you much about the taking care of animals and how much work is involved.  One day, when time permits I would gladly volunteer at the RSPCA."
