RSPCA Clinics Burwood East and Pearcedale

RSPCA Victoria operates its main veterinary clinic in Burwood East. A smaller clinic also operates at the Pearcedale shelter on the Mornington Peninsula. Both clinics operate as fully functional private veterinary clinics as well as providing an exceptional level of  veterinary care to the thousands of stray and surrendered shelter animals every year.

When the general public seek veterinary care from clinics, profits are directed to the care of stray and injured animals.

By operating  veterinary clinics, which are generously supported by the public, we are able to develop a broader range of veterinary skills amongst staff. The result is clinics with highly trained, caring and committed veterinarians and nursing staff, who provide a clinical facility that is equal to none.

Services

The RSPCA veterinary clinic provides many services to the general public:

  Open 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
  Everyday health needs for your pet; flea Control, heartworm medications,
         intestinal worm treatments and medicated shampoos
  Micro-chipping
  Hospital / intensive care needs
  Surgery –We offer a range of veterinary services, including de-sexing and
         sophisticated surgery, such as orthopaedic and abdominal procedures.
         Surgery can be a painful and sometimes traumatic experience for anyone,
         so all animals are given pain relief whilst in our care, as well as
         being sent home with pain medication, just to make things a little easier.
  Anaesthetic – We provide the highest level of veterinary care for your
         animals. A qualified and trained nurse will closely
         monitor your animal from the moment the surgery starts, until your pet is
         ready to go home.

It is difficult to give an exact price on every procedure that we do, simply because each animal’s needs will be different.

As a general guide, the following prices will apply:

24-Hour emergency centres

Unfortunately we are unable to provide a 24-hour clinic, and understand that animals don’t run on a 9 to 5 clock. Below is a list of 24-hour emergency centres that will be able to provide after hours care for your animal.
