Dogs for adoption

▼▼▼See below for cat and small animals for adoption▼▼▼
  Case Number 432489B

Name

Buster Colour Blue and white

Breed

Kelpie X coolie Age 14 Weeks

Grooming

Low Gender Male

Exercise

High Size Medium

Training

High
These puppies were bred on a farm where both their parents were good working dogs. They are intelligent and keen to learn. They would make excellent farm dogs. Both these pups will need extensive training by an experienced person, and a home where their boundless energy will be an asset and not a problem. They are great boys with endless potential for doggie sports such as agility, flyball or obedience.

Case Number  436904A

  Name Tiny Colour Fawn
Breed Chihuahua X Age 5 Years
Grooming Low Gender Female
Exercise Low Size Small
Training Low
Tiny is the perfect older person’s companion, or perhaps a person with limited mobility who cannot provide much exercise. Tiny would be happy with very little, as she will walk but appears to not enjoy it. She is a real couch potato, and as a consequence is a little overweight. Tiny is wary of other dogs (although she has lived happily with another dog in the past) and children, nor does she like cats. So a quiet home with no children or other pets is essential. She will make a good little guard dog as she will defend her territory. She has been surrendered, so will need some time to adjust to her new home.

Animals who have recently been adopted from RSPCA Castlemaine

Adoptions take at least 30 minutes so please allow enough time to choose your new pet. .

If you already own a dog, please bring it with you so we can ensure your new pet is a perfect match!

If you are visiting from out of town, please phone us first to ensure your animal hasn't already found a loving new home.  Also keep in mind a return trip might be needed if your adopted pet needs desexing.

If you're thinking of surrendering your pet, please contact the shelter to discuss this with the staff first
