Brand New Age Groupings – Brand New Activities!

Why not come and get up close and personal with our barn animals at Behind the Scenes  and meet the Rats, Rabbits and Guinea Pigs at  Petite Pets. Spend time with our wonderful horses and ponies at a Brand New Horsin' Around and Hands On Horse Care Sessions!  Its always fun with our lovely education dogs- come and met them at Discovering Dogs and Dog Day.  Learn training techniques and tour our adoption areas.  Our new Action for Animals Session for 12-14 year olds is great for students who want to learn about RSPCA inspectors and recent rescue stories.

Our Holiday Program now offers three exciting new sessions for 15-18 year olds.   Come to Vet Day at the RSPCA or Animal First Aid to experience and learn how RSPCA vets and vet nurses care for sick and injured animals.   We are now offering a horse themed program for 15-18 year olds.   Hands On Horse Care will give you some great hands on, face to face interaction with our horses as well as covering many aspects of horse ownership.

Please note the holiday program is only being held at Burwood East in March/April 2010.

Come along to learn all about the work of a veterinary nurse at the RSPCA.  Learn how to use basic first aid techniques to help injured animals and protect your pets.  We can show you how to read animal behaviour and safely rescue wildlife. Places are limited.	Do you love horses but have never had the chance to be up close with them?  Come and join us for a heap of fun hands on activities.  Learn about the care of horses and understanding their behaviour.  This is a Brand New session – so be the first to come and experience it!  Places are limited.	Are you interested in working with animals in the future?  Take a backstage look at the work of a vet at the RSPCA.  Learn about assessing a dog’s health and temperament and spend some quality time with our education animals.  Places are limited.

Dogs, Dogs, Dogs! Come and join us for some Dog and Puppy Fun!  Lots of facts to learn, animals to meet and dog themed activities!	Are you CrAzY for Cats or KoOky for Kittens?  Come and join in the feline fun and learn about how the RSPCA looks out for cats of all breeds and backgrounds.	Have you ever wanted to find out about the work of the RSPCA inspectors and find out how you can Take Action to help Animals? Come along to hear brand new animal rescue stories and make life better for shelter animals.

Ellie the Golden Retriever invites you to join her and Kenzie the Border Collie pup for a day of dog training, dog treat making and all things K9.  If you love dogs, then you will love Dog Day at the RSPCA.  (Sorry, pet dogs are UNABLE to attend).	Come and meet our delightful education ratties and learn about caring for all small animals.   Cuddle a guinea pig or bundle a bunny – its sure to be a RAT-Tastic day!	Do you love the RSPCA Animal Rescue Show?  Learn all about how the RSPCA helps all creatures great and small.  Get up close and personal with our pets and farm animals, and take a special tour of the RSPCA.

Calling kids who love animals!  This is the perfect session for young children aged 5 to 7 years old to meet some well natured dogs, kind cats and friendly farm animals.  There will be plenty of animal interaction and animal inspired art and craft activities.	Come and be involved in an ALL NEW Horsing Around Session - for young people who love ponies and horses.  Come and meet Gus, our gorgeous, white Welsh Mountain Pony or Tucky the galloping gentle giant.  Find out about how the RSPCA helps horses, make some equine inspired art and craft and much more Brand New Horsey Fun!
