Our shelter services need your support

The RSPCA is dedicated to improving animal welfare throughout Victoria and to date this financial year has been one of our very best. We have already achieved outstanding results across a number of crucial Shelter services such as Foster Care, Re-uniting & Adoption, Cat Welfare and Veterinary Care - but our work is far from over. With no government funding for these vital services and the cost to care for our animals rapidly increasing, we need your help more than ever. By June 30, thousands of more animals are expected to come into our care in urgent need of help. Please give generously this tax time to ensure these services can continue to help make a better life for animals in need. Did you know?
$63	Provides our Shelter team with the resources needed to reunite a lost animal with their family.
$97	Shares the cost of desexing, microchipping and providing vaccinations for an animal in our care.
$132	Keeps our kittens and puppies warm and cosy during their stay in our shelter.
$247	Supports our Foster Care program to provide specialised medical, behavioural care and attention to animals in need.

A snap shot of our achievements to date

Lost to found
Over 10,500 dogs have been reunited with loved ones and adopted into loving new homes, that’s a adoption and reclaim rate of 82.7% which is an all time high in the history of the RSPCA!

Foster care
Over 700 animals have been given a second chance through our Foster Care program; enabling them to receive the specialised care required to before they can enter adoptions, and find their happy home.

Cat welfare
More than 4,600 cats have been adopted or reunited with loved ones which, which is an increase of 28% from last year.

Vet care
Over 8000 veterinary surgeries and de-sexing procedures have been performed throughout the state, helping to better the health of animals in need.

Community fundraising
From sausage sizzles, cupcake parties to walkathons; get your family and friends together to help fundraise!
