It’s hard to believe anyone could dump a litter of
innocent puppies, let alone put them in a bag and
throw them in the bin.
But that is exactly what happened.

Only hours old, and at their most vulnerable, five tiny puppies were thrown in the bin like rubbish and left to die. Luckily, a passerby heard their soft cries for help and, shocked by what she had found, immediately called the RSPCA Animal Ambulance.
The puppies were quickly brought to our veterinary clinic where they received life saving treatment before going home with a dedicated foster carer who provided critical around the clock care.
After two months in foster care, all five puppies were returned to the RSPCA, where they were desexed, vaccinated and microchipped making them ready for adoption. Each of the puppies were adopted into loving new homes after winning the hearts of their new owners.
Thankfully these puppies were rescued and rehomed, but sadly, many more animals face an uncertain future during the cold Winter months.
Last Winter, more than 4,000 stray, abandoned and neglected animals arrived at RSPCA shelters throughout Victoria, all in desperate need of care and a warm place to sleep. The RSPCA relies heavily on the generous support of the community to continue providing critical care for these animals.
