Expression of interest - re-homing an RSPCA pony or horse
Are you interested in re-homing a pony or horse from the RSPCA? We are looking for experienced equine
owners who will provide these animals with the care they need at a forever home. We are looking for new
homes where these animals will be cared for at the owner’s property. Unfortunately, we cannot consider
applications from those looking to agist on another property.
To ensure that we find a perfect match for these animals, only applicants fitting the following criteria will be considered.
- Aged 18 years of age or over.
- Be prepared to be involved in an interview with an RSPCA staff member and allow a property inspection.
- Demonstrated capacity to train a pony or horse or are willing to pay for an experienced handler to assist.
- Currently have ponies or horses in your care, to ensure that these animals have company.
- Have access to equipment that will help you transport the pony or horse from the RSPCA to your property.
- Be committed to undertake annual veterinary checks for the pony or horse and cover all costs associated with ongoing care and treatment.
