Opie the "foster fail"
From the moment Eden took Opie home to foster, she’d fallen head over heels in love. This beautiful boy was waiting patiently to have much-needed knee surgery, and with the help of Eden’s love and TLC, he quickly settled in. Opie spent his days cuddling, napping and playing with his favourite toys.
Two weeks later Opie went in for his surgery, and to everyone’s delight, it was a huge success! Opie came back home to Eden, where he was pampered with all his favourite toys and an endless supply of cuddles.
After four more weeks of fostering, the big day came. Opie, well and truly on the mend, was officially adopted into Eden’s loving home! For Eden, it’s a match made in heaven.
“I actually didn't think it was possible to love something or someone as much as I love him. He is cheeky but so kind. He honestly cares about your feelings and needs, and any time I'm sad or questioning those big things in life, he simply licks my face then cuddles up next to me with his head on my lap or my knee!”
After the dedicated love and care provided by the RSPCA Pearcedale vet team and his forever human Eden, Opie is set to have a life filled with many more cuddles and – with Christmas having just gone by – most likely many more toys!
“He is literally the best thing that has ever happened to me. The joy I get when I get in from a long shift and he bolts to the door to say hello is indescribable.
I said I'd never let a man tie me down ‘til much later in life, but I'm pretty sure Opie has got me wrapped around his little paw!”
We wish Opie and Eden a very Happy first New Year together, and many more happy years together in his furever home!
