Hi there, my name is Filly and
if you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an expression of interest form and a RSPCA staff member will contact you as soon as possible.
I am a sweet, cheeky young girl who would adore it if I was able to find a home where someone can appreciate my sense of fun, and appreciate my zest for life (which often includes stirring up my paddock buddies into a good hoon around the paddock!).
I was in quite poor condition when I arrived at the shelter, very thin and my coat was full of scabs from my rainscald. I had a very swollen off hind leg with a big scar on it from a previous injury.
With lots of care and attention, I've blossomed into a spunky young horse who now looks a million bucks. My leg wound looks so much better, my leg is still a little bit swollen yet it looks amazing compared to what it did. It doesn't bother me as I give all my friends a run for their money when we have a cheeky race around the paddock.I have had laminitis in the past so I do need to have an appropriate diet, plus I have front shoes on that have helped me immensely. I will likely be fine for low level riding but I won't ever be a performance horse because of this.
I had my last race in 2014 so I will need an experienced owner or professional trainer to bring me into work if you would like me as a light ridden horse. Otherwise I'd be happy as Larry living my days out being a companion and receiving the love and attention I so rightly deserve.
If you think you'd like to give me a forever home, please don't hesitate!
I am not desexed.
