About WarrnamboolThe RSPCA Warrnambool shelter was officially opened in 1983. It provides pound services for stray animals located within the Warrnambool City Council area. In recent years the pound facilities have also provided accommodation for stray animals impounded by the Moyne Shire. The local RSPCA shelter provides care for more than 1,500 unwanted and stray animals each year. RSPCA Inspectors within the region attend cruelty complaints received
from the public. RSPCA Victoria receives more than 9,700 cruelty complaints
each year and 46% are from regional Victoria. Since the opening of the shelter the Bargain Centre has provided financial support for the shelter animals, through the sale of second hand goods donated by the public. The friendly staff at the Warrnambool shop are always eager to help you find just what you are looking for. They even helped unite 2 Golden Retrievers with their owner recently, when the 2 dogs turned up at their shop. The dogs obviously knew where to go! Come in and have a browse and help us help the animals at the shelter. To view the shop opening hours, please refer to the green panel on the
right.
