About WangarattaRSPCA Wangaratta shelter operated from the leased Council pound until 2000 when its own premises was purchased. The shelter and pound have since been extensively upgraded. The local RSPCA shelter provides care for more than 1,200 unwanted and stray animals each year. RSPCA Inspectors within the region attend cruelty complaints received from the public. RSPCA Victoria receives more than 9,700 cruelty complaints each year and 46% are from regional Victoria. RSPCA has an Opportunity Shop in Wangaratta where all funds raised help to support the local shelter and animal welfare services within the local community. To view the shop opening hours, please refer to the green panel on the

shelter or shop if you would like to know more about volunteering for your
