RSPCA Mildura Mildura and the Sunraysia district joined the RSPCA in October 1986. A local RSPCA shop operated by volunteers continues to operate to raise funds to support local animal welfare services. Across Victoria, RSPCA shelters care for more than 40,000 animals each year. RSPCA Inspectors investigate more than 14,400 cases of reported cruelty annually, with 46% from regional Victoria. Adoption Animals Although the RSPCA no longer operates a shelter in the Sunraysia region,, we have adoption centres across Victoria with lots of dogs, cats, guinea pigs and rabbits needing loving new homes. Volunteering The RSPCA relies heavily on the support of volunteers to provide local animal welfare services and fundraising activities.
