RSPCA Geelong Geelong joined the RSPCA in March 1984. A local RSPCA shop was opened to raise funds to support local animal welfare services, managed by a team of dedicated volunteers. An RSPCA Inspector is based in Geelong. Our Inspector manages cruelty complaints from the Western Districts region, which includes the towns of Geelong, Warrnambool and Portland. Each year across Victoria, RSPCA Inspectors investigate more than 14,400 cases of reported cruelty and our shelters care for more than 40,000 animals. Adoption Animals Although the RSPCA does not operate an animal shelter in Geelong, we have adoption centres across Victoria with lots of dogs, cats, guinea pigs and rabbits needing loving new homes. View the RSPCA adoption animals and you might just find your new best friend! Op shop The RSPCA operates an opportunity shop in Geelong where all funds raised help to support the local shelter and animal welfare services within the local community. Learn more about donating your time and goods to an RSPCA op shop. Our op shop is one of our retail outlets for Hill’s Science Diet pet food, so drop in today and pick up some nutritious food for your pets. They’ll love you for it! Volunteering RSPCA Geelong relies on the support of dedicated volunteers to help it care for all creatures great and small. If you are over the age of 15, reliable and want to make a difference to animals, give us a call or drop in and say hello! Current volunteer positions:
