About Ballarat
Ballarat became part of the RSPCA in 1968. The local RSPCA shelter
provides care for more than 3,400 unwanted and stray animals each year.
An RSPCA Inspector is based in Ballarat. The Inspector manages cruelty
complaints for the local region, Grampians and Sunraysia districts, which
account for more than 11% of the total cruelty complaints that RSPCA
Victoria receives.
Ballarat Opportunity Shop
RSPCA has an Opportunity Shop in Ballarat where all funds raised help to
support the local shelter and animal welfare services within the local
community.
To view the shop opening hours, please refer to the green panel on the
right.
RSPCA relies heavily on the support of volunteers to provide local animal
welfare services and fundraising activities. Please contact the local
shelter or shop if you would like to know more about volunteering for your
local RSPCA. To see if there is a position available in your local op
shop, please click here or for
