RSPCA Portland opened in 1993 and since this time has provided refuge, care and rehabilitation to animals from surrounding areas. In the past year alone, RSPCA Portland has cared for 1,002 animals.
RSPCA Portland was redeveloped in 2006. This redevelopment improved facilities for the animals and those visiting the shelter for animal care, advice and adoption. Our tireless work in Portland and our achievements in animal welfare are only made possible with generous support from the local community. Whether you are able to contribute a financial donation, donate blankets, attend our local Million Paws Walk or spare your time as a volunteer - everything helps the animals we care for.
The operations of RSPCA Portland are overseen by our Shelter Supervisor, Leanne, and a dedicated team of staff and volunteers.

Adoption centre
Each year, more than 333 dogs and cats find second chances through our Portland adoption program. If you're looking to adopt a pet, there are lots of dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs waiting to find loving new homes at RSPCA Portland.
