RSPCA Epping
RSPCA Epping provides refuge, care and rehabilitation to animals from the Epping, Whittlesea and surrounding areas. In addition to the number of animals adopted in Epping, many are also transported to RSPCA Burwood East to find loving new homes.
The operations of RSPCA Epping are overseen by our Shelter Supervisor, Joanna, and a dedicated team of staff and volunteers.

Meet Joanna (RSPCA Epping Shelter Supervisor)
Joanna has been shelter supervisor at the Epping
RSPCA for four years. Joanna's days are long and her tasks are often
varied. She begins her day greeting staff and organising their work for
the day. Joanna is not afraid to get her hands dirty and also helps out
with the hands-on work, such as cleaning and feeding the animals. She
regularly liaises with the local council and Burwood East RSPCA, dealing
with incoming animals and transfers.
Joanna loves spending time with
the animals and getting to know them. Joanna says the most
challenging part of her job is seeing animals arrive at the shelter in
bad condition, knowing it isn't their fault. She also says the nature of
her job is very unpredictable, and that things often arise without
warning, which is when the "routine goes out the window!"

Adoption centre
If you're looking to adopt a pet, there are lots of dogs, cats, rabbits
and guinea pigs waiting to find loving new homes at RSPCA Epping. Many
animals entering our shelter at RSPCA Epping are transported to RSPCA
Burwood East so be sure to review the animals available for adoption at
both locations.
