RSPCA Adoption Program

Have you recently adopted a dog from the RSPCA?

If so, come to our four week adoption program classes to make sure that
you and your new friend start off on the right paw.

During the classes you and your pooch will lean many important aspects of adjusting to your new life together, and will also receive training for basic behaviours such as:

Sit and drop
Bond-building games
Exercises

Over the four weeks your trainer will be on hand to help you with your pet's specific needs and will also be able to help you with any 'settling-in issues' that you may have.

This class is specially designed for owners who have previously adopted a dog from the RSPCA or another animal welfare organisation (proof of adoption is required). Animals adopted from the RSPCA are temperament tested and RSPCA will be able to provide with information as to if your dog is 'dog social'. Please note that any dog attending this class must be 'dog social' in order to participate.

Classes are held on Saturdays at the RSPCA Animal Behaviour Centre.

When

One hour per week over four consecutive weeks.

Requirement

Dogs must have been adopted from an animal shelter, proof of adoption will be required.

Cost

$60 or $40 if the booking is made within two weeks of adoption.
